The path from a regional professional initiative to an international scientific and practical conference - and the community of physicians behind it.

From a regional initiative to an international forum
The Association of Urologists of Southern Kazakhstan was established in 2020 on the initiative of a small team of urologists from Southern Kazakhstan and Shymkent.
In 2022 the first regional conference was held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The forum has run annually since then and has grown into a professional event attended by international specialists and companies.
In 2026 the association hosts the 5th Anniversary International Scientific and Practical Conference, “Southern Urological Forum SUF-2026”.

The first regional conference
The first scientific conference, held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy.
A growing community
Between 2023 and 2025 the forum ran in Shymkent and Turkestan, widening the geography of its participants.
Anniversary international forum
18-19 September 2026, Shymkent. International speakers, masterclasses and an equipment exhibition.
Forum emblem concept
A combination of graphic images of a tulip, as a symbol of Southern Kazakhstan, and human kidneys, symbolising urology. The core idea is based on harmony between nature and medical science.
The central element was chosen as a tribute to the ancestor of all modern tulips, Greig’s tulip (Tulipa greigii), rightfully called the “king of tulips” and one of the primary natural ancestors of modern cultivated varieties.
The native homeland of the tulip is the mountainous and foothill regions of southern Kazakhstan.
